About Us

St.  Joseph School has been providing high academic standards, while building moral character based on our Catholic values and family involvement for over 100 years, in York County. Currently, there are approximately 200 families at St. Joseph School with children in grades Pre-K through Sixth. We have students from 11 school districts.

The combination of faith and academics is key to our school. We are joyfully Catholic at St. Joseph School. We teach cooperative learning and healthy living in all grades. In addition, responding to the call to serve others is very important. We have many service projects each year, where our students reach out to the local community and the global one. Our Pre-K classroom has a teacher and an aide. Small class size allows each student to receive personal attention every day. The faculty includes our principal, homeroom teachers, specialty teachers, and classroom aides, who make our school a warm and happy place for children to pray, learn, and grow.

St. Joseph School is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education which promotes and recognizes educational excellence. St. Joseph School is part of the Diocese of Harrisburg. Our school has earned a fine academic reputation. Our students’ test scores are excellent! Our curriculum is diverse, providing opportunities for success to children of all abilities. Our Learning Support Program assists children with mild to moderate learning challenges to thrive within regular classrooms.

St. Joseph School welcomes families from all over York County. Busing is available from most school districts; children who live in the neighborhood may walk or ride bicycles; and of course some families choose to drive their children each day.
