Our Catholic Identity

s.

The principle goal of our religious education program is to bring the believer to full stature in Christ. The program is developed so that the children are encouraged to:

  • Grow in attitude of love of God and neighbor
  • Form habits of prayer and worship
  • Engage in works of service to others

We support parents in their role as primary educators of their children in the Faith, by providing additional instruction and opportunities to continue what is being taught at home in accordance with the Catholic Church.

This spiritual mission is carried out in many ways—regular classroom instruction, weekly school liturgies, prayer experiences, sacramental preparation, retreats, adoration and service learning. Prayer begins and ends each day and is experienced daily in religion class. All children celebrate liturgy together Fridays at 8:30 AM. Parents, guardians, grandparents and friends are invited to attend school liturgies. Student assist their school community by serving as altar servers, choir members, and lectors as well as older students are matched with younger students who become their prayer partners.

The foundation of faith around which academic programs exist permeates every aspect of the school day and continues beyond it. Service projects have included food, clothes, candy, toy and shoe drives. This faith-filled environment instills high degrees of self-confidence, self-respect, and self-discipline among students.
